The Business, Leadership & Entrepreneurship is a pathway that focuses on fostering an entrepreneurial mindset, developing strategic management skills, and manage organizational growth. This pathway helps students prepare for real life business situations.
Involves keeping track of money (accounting), figuring out how to sell products (marketing), and making sure everything is organized. In short it’s the engine that keeps the whole process moving.
Involves making big decisions, staying positive when things go wrong, and helping your teammates do their best work. It’s about being the person who knows the way and help others to follow it.
Involves coming up with new inventions, taking risks, and starting things from scratch. In a nutshell it’s the "spark" that turns a random thought into a real business.

Introduction To Media Marketing is the first class most BLE freshman take. This class helps students build partnership and leadership. Media Marketing can also bring out students creativity. It teaches students how to make a successful product with the right marketing. They dive into the 4 P's, S.W.O.T, and the product life cycle. (PLC)

Exploration of the Business, Leadership and Entrepreneurship Pathway. Students will be exposed to all areas of business including Accounting, Marketing, Finance and Management. They will also begin exploration into corresponding careers within. including exploration of necessary employability skills for these careers. Students will also receive instruction in areas of communication and interpersonal skills, local and global economic awareness, research skills, and business operations. Additionally, students will learn how business impacts daily life.

Marketing Principles is a game plan to get people to buy what you’re selling. The 4 P’s consists of 4 Parts, Product, Price, Place, Promotion. The 7 Ps for Services adds, People, Process, Physical Evidence, to services.

Students learn how to create a product/idea and what to do to make it successful. This includes running their own business, creating a profit, solving social problems, etc. They also learn what it means to take risk to find you opportunity while building leadership skills.

This course covers the fundamentals of a business, management and leadership skills and how to be financially responsible. Business manager class is great for scholors are planning on majoring business later in life to preparing for an entry level position.

Sport marketing is a specific part of marketing that helps advertise sports teams, leagues, athletes, and events. It also uses these sports figures to help sell non-sports products through endorsements and sponsorships.

Like any other marketing class they know the basics but deep further into it. students work on more types of marketing and get more oppurtuinies to grow and learn to prepare for college or any career they purse.

Students get a chance to learn more about the real life marketing world outside of school. They work directly with communities and local businesses.

Corey McCune is a assistant principle for the BLE pathway. he likes to eat food, drink water and he is tall. a fun fact about him, is he really loves to garden

Gannon Ogle is a Business teacher at Winnetonka High School. He has been teaching for 2 years now. He teaches Business Communications and Personal Finance. Ogle became a business teacher so that he can help guide and lead student to learn valuable skills that they can use to be successful once they leave high school. Here at Winnetonka he is a football and baseball coach, and he helps with both FBLA and DECA.

Brett Schmitt is a business teacher at Winnetonka High School with 18 years of high school teaching experience, including 13 years at Winnetonka and five years at Raymore-Peculiar High School. He teaches Foundations of Business, Entrepreneurship, Business Management, and Business Law, and serves as the DECA and FBLA sponsor. Brett is passionate about preparing students with real-world business skills, leadership experience, and practical knowledge to help them succeed in college, careers, and life beyond high school.

Entrepreneurship, Sports Marketing, Business Accounting, Banking and Financials. He got into teaching because of coaching basketball from Lenexa Kansas. He went to Park University, played basketball there in 2015-2017 and went back to coach 2022-2025 for three years.

Travis Manroe. he is a teacher in the BLE Pathway. His courses consist of Marketing Principals, Advanced Marketing, Intro to Media Marketing, and Marketing Internship. he loves to teach because it allows him to inspire growth, spark curiosity, and make a lasting impact on students’ lives. Weird fact about him is he likes to eat cereal from a cup and drink milk out of a separate cup at the same time.

The community always helps each other and is always willing to give out a helping hand. In this community, we support one another because we value teamwork, respect different ideas, and encourage everyone to do their best. We also communicate openly, share responsibilities, and celebrate each other’s successes, which makes our community strong and welcoming.
